In 1985, the late USA President George Herbert Walker Bush enjoyed the Li River cruise. In 1987, the former USA President Jimmy Cgooder took the Li River cruise to Yangshuo and enjoyed cycling in the Lijiang River National Park. Lijiang River National Park covers Guilin City and Yangshuo. In Guilin, Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill, Fubo Hill, and Diecai Hill are the most famous. Among them, Fubo and Diecai Hills are good for admiring the panoramic views of Guilin City.
The part of Lijiang River National Park in Yangshuo features the most stunning views to appreciate. From Guilin to Yangshuo, the Lijiang River passes by Daxu Old Town, Crown Cave, Cattle Valley, Fairy Grinds the Mill, Yangdi, Pen Peak, Wave Stone Legend, Nine-horse Fresco Hill, Reflection of Yellow Cloth Shoal, Xingping Old Town, and Fuli Old Town. Tourists can take the Lijiang River Cruise from Guilin down to Yangshuo or enjoy hiking or cycling along the river. Xianggong Hill and Damian Mountain in the Lijiang River National Park offer the amazing sunrise while the Laozhai Mountain in Xingping has the sunrise as well as the sunset to admire. |
As part of South China Karst - UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, the Lijiang River features amazing Karst scenery to enjoy. In Yangshuo Countryside, Yulong River - one of the tributaries of the Lijiang River and part of the Lijiang River National Park offers karst landscape on either side to appreciate as well. Locals offer the traditional bamboo rafting on the river to tourists to experience.
Yulong River Scenic Area is home to locals for hundreds of years. When tourists enjoy hiking or cycling in the area, several old villages more than 100 years old, such as Jiuxian Old Village will appear in the sight. Cuiping Hill in the area features the gorgeous sunset. |
